Prologue

I touched my nose to the hard, cold ice and seeped into my dreams. The medicine cats had all gathered around to get dreams from Skyclan. I, being the Mountainclan medicine cat, got to go. I slept and darkness all surrounded me. A pale white she-cat walked out of the nothingness. Her pelt gleamed and her eyes hollow. A Skyclan cat. In case you didn’t know, Skyclan is the clan of all our dead ancestors. Basically, all dead clan cats go to Skyclan.
Once every season, the medicine cats come down to the Ice Caverns and sleep touching the Rainbow Ice to receive dreams from Skyclan. The white cat raced toward me, I stood breathless. I didn’t expect this she-cat to visit me!
“Hello, Mercyfoot.” She greeted me with a ringing voice that echoed off the nothingness. The voice of a Skyclan cat.
“H-hello, Whitestar!” I shouted the greeting “why are you here?”
“To talk to you Mercyfoot.” She answered quite calmly with only a hint of urgency.
“I know. But why you? I’d least expect you to visit me. Maybe another medicine cat before my time…but my old leader!”
“Speaking of which, how is Brightstar?”
“Besides being overjoyed with being the new leader of Mountainclan, she’s very well. A little too prideful, though.”
“I know, but she’s an amazing she-cat. She knows best and is very wise when she needs to be.”
“Whitestar, why are you here? What do you need to tell me?” I asked. The urgency returned to Whitestar’s face as I reminded her.
“There is a new prophesy. But listen carefully, Mercyfoot.” Suddenly four small kits came into view. One a beautiful icy white colored she-cat, another a shining sandy colored she-cat, another a beautifully mixed tabby she-cat, and the last was black she-cat with red and orange paws.
“Who are they?” I asked in amazement.
“I show you the cats of the prophesy.” Whitestar answered with a serious look.
“But they’re kits!” I yowled.
“The prophesy comes as they’re kits. But it will not be fulfilled until they are warriors.”
“I see.” I said sternly, thinking hard on this.
“Mercyfoot, you must take action while they’re kits.”
“Very well, tell me the prophesy.” I demanded. Whitestar leaned in to whisper.
“A new prophesy has come: Blood will rule the forest and a rivalry shall be born.” She whispered in my ear. Then everything disappeared. My eyes flew open and I shudder as I moved away from the cold ice. The other medicine cats were waking and washing themselves.
“Have a nice dream?” The grey striped tom asked me.
“Sort of, Nightstripe, a new prophesy has came for my clan.” I answered “but what about you, Nightstripe?”
“Very well.” He answered “I got a new prophesy too.”
“Me too.” The tortoiseshell she-cat, Ravensky, said.
“Same.” The white she-cat, Whiteherb, told us.
“Well, what was the prophesy?” I asked, curious. Had we all gotten the same prophesy?
“When blood spills and comes apart, a rivalry shall grow.” Nightstripe, Ravensky, and Whiteherb said at the same time, as if one ominous voice.
“Interesting.” I said, it was so different then mine, but it felt like it was the same.
“What was your prophesy?” Nightstripe asked me “we all had the same prophesy did you?”
“I’m afraid not. Mine is alike yours, though.” I answered “Blood will rule the forest and a rivalry shall be born.”
“One prophesy different than the others, how strange.” Ravensky muttered, pondering this.
“Then her clan has a different prophesy.” Whiteherb explained “nothing unusual. Just because the rest are the same, doesn’t mean they all should be.”
“Right.” I said. I was a brand new medicine cat, so I didn’t know as much as them. My mentor, Crowfall, had died from green-cough, and so had Whitestar. So this was the very first prophesy I’d been given. I said goodbye to the medicine cats and raced back to the Mountainclan camp.
“Mercyfoot! Thank goodness you’re here!” Brightstar yowled as I raced through the opening.
“What is it, Brightstar?” I asked urgently.
“Darkfur is having her kits!” she said. We ran side by side to the nursery and I found Heavypaw –my medicine cat apprentice –delivering the kits. Two kits were already born. Sweetpaw and Coloredpaw were licking them warm. I rushed in as the third was born. Heavypaw licked it warm while I delivered the last kit. Then it was all over.
“Eat these borage leaves, Darkfur.” Heavypaw told her “Sweetpaw, Coloredpaw, you two go back to the apprentices den.” They all obeyed.
“You have four beautiful kits, Darkfur.” I told her after making sure her kits were healthy.
“H-how w-wonderful.” She sighed “g-give them to me!” We pushed her kits to her and they snuggled close. Brightstar purred and Heavypaw sighed with relief.
“I can’t believe you delivered three kits on your own.” I praised Heavypaw “I’m impressed.”
“It was from the five moons of being mentored by you and Crowfall.” He said “but…it wasn’t good enough to save her and Whitestar.” His eyes clouded over with sadness.
“They died half a moon ago, Heavypaw, mourning had it’s time. That time is over.” I explained gently. I knew Heavypaw blamed me for not saving them. And he hated me for it.
“Crowfall was a great cat too.” Brightstar added “she died trying to save Whitestar. Not to mention she saved Pondlilly and Sweetpaw.”
“Silly,” Heavypaw mewed “I saved Sweetpaw from green-cough.”
“Can I take my kits out of the nursery to show them the camp?” Clawfoot, a queen like Darkfur who had three kits, asked Brightstar.
“That would be a good idea.” Brightstar said “they are old enough now.” Clawfoot gently pushed her kits up and the walked out of the nursery. Now there was only me, Heavypaw, Brightstar, Darkfur and her kits. Suddenly there was a burst of white light and glittering stardust. When the light disappeared, all of us were gaping at Whitestar’s presence. Every cat speechless as we saw the white she-cat who was sitting and had her head bowed down.
“The prophesy kits are born.” Whitestar whispered without moving. She opened her yellow eyes which were narrowed and hissed “Blood will rule the forest and a rivalry shall be born.” She then disappeared into the air and all that was left from the vision was stardust. Brightstar shuddered after the vision that everyone in the nursery just witnessed.
“What just happened?” Heavypaw asked in shock.
“You all heard the prophesy I got from Skyclan.” I answered “Darkfur, your kits are the prophesied ones. And we need to follow what they say. If we don’t do something now, ‘Blood will rule the forest and a rivalry shall be born.’”
“But what did that prophesy mean, Mercyfoot?” Brightstar asked me. Of course I had a theory, and it must be the only explanation available.
“It must mean that the kits will band together and kill all cats in the forest that opposes them. That explains the: Blood will rule the forest. Then they’ll form a rivalry against the clans. That explains the: And a rivalry shall be born. It’s the only possible explanation.”
“What should I do?” Darkfur looked at her four kits. The first a beautiful icy blue colored she-cat, the second a shining sandy colored she-cat, the third a beautifully mixed tabby she-cat, and the last was black she-cat with red and orange paws. Just like the kits from my prophesy dream.
“I know what you should do.” Clawfoot said, walking into the nursery, “I saw Whitestar.”
“Tell me! What should we do?” Brightstar begged.
“Separate them.” Clawfoot answered.
“Are you sure?” I asked, even I was uneasy by this.
“Yes,” Clawfoot pressed “separate them and they’ll never be together. Then we’ll be safe.”
“A very good plan.” Heavypaw praised the queen. Darkfur narrowed her eyes with sadness.
“If it will save the forest then, very well.” She agreed “but I get to keep two kits in Mountainclan.”
“Risky but it will work.” Clawfoot said “but they can’t know they’re sisters. Give one of them to me. I’ll raise it as if it was part of my litter.”
“Good. But let me name them before they leave me.” Darkfur pleaded with Brightstar.
“There’s no harm there.” Brightstar said sympathetically.
“Thank you. The white one is Icekit, I’ve decided to keep her. The sandy one is Sandkit, she may go. The tabby one is Tabbykit, she’ll go to Clawfoot. And that leaves the black one as Cometkit and she’ll have to go.” Darkfur explained, her face curling up in pain whenever she said the word ‘go.’
“I see. Icekit with Darkfur, Sandkit to Beachclan, Tabbykit to Clawfoot, and Cometkit to…Seaclan or Stoneclan?” Heavypaw decided.
“Yeah, Cometkit should go to Stoneclan. I hear that Palestar welcomes any cat.” Darkfur suggested.
“Very well then. They’ll have to leave today so they won’t have any memory of ever being together.” Brightstar said “and we’ll have to tell the leaders of Beachclan and Stoneclan that these kits shall never be allowed to go to the gatherings, so that none of them ever meet. And the kits staying here can never go to the gatherings either.” She grabbed Sandkit by the scruff, “I’ll take Sandkit to Beachclan.”
“I’ll take Cometkit to Stoneclan.” I offered.
“I know this is for good but. Clawfoot, take Tabbykit into your litter.” Darkfur was almost at tears when she said this, shoving Tabbykit into Clawfoot’s fur.

(that's it, that's the whole prologue. chapter 1 should be posted as soon as i type it up. don't worry. p.s. all things that were originally in italics, underlined, or in bold were un-italiced, un-underlined, and un-bolded. sorry. that's what this blog does. and i'm too lazy to go through this whole prologue and re-do them. so, deal with it.)

i care about it and I could say the same about my soccer games the only person I see there is my stalker. none of my other friends come, and there isn't an excuse for the people who go to my school because we the team announce when we have games on the freaking news. THE SCHOOL NEWS. so... pretty much we let the whole school know when we have games and whether we and the older team won or lost so far for Junior Varsity it is Won: 1 Lost: 0 Tied: 1
Varsity: Won: 2 Lost: 0 Tied: 0 So Varsity is dominating.
